Last years plans got put on the back-burner for no small reason...
That's right! We had a beautiful baby girl!

Elizabeth Ruby Macleod was welcomed to the world on a stormy night, November 12th, 2015.
Since then, we have endured a taxing recovery from a difficult birth, as well as dealing with and healing from a horrible car accident three weeks after she was born (thankfully baby was fine, but hubby and I were not exactly okay).
Elizabeth loves her rock hammer, passed down to me from Vancouver Island Paleontologist Dr. Graham Beard, now hers, and she went on her first fossil hunting trip this summer while in the womb! She is a beauty and a charmer, and I can't wait to be strong enough to take her out hiking amongst our fine West Coast wilderness :)
Baby will be a part of all future adventures. Of course, having her has so far been the greatest adventure of all...
